We are a month and a half away from transforming the Westside Loft in
Manhattan into a transplanted village from
Pakistan. This year's theme, "A Night on the Indus," will bring together many of our current patrons, volunteers, and friends to celebrate life and culture in Pakistan, all while raising money to enhance the future of the children there.
Along with the street food vendors serving traditional Pakistani favorites to fulfill your epicurean desires, we intend on having traditional Pakistani beverages to keep hydrated all night long. Aaron James, formerly the resident DJ at Crobar, with his latest residency at Guesthouse, will be spinning hip-hop, bhangra, 80's, and Middle Eastern jams all night.
We are also pleased to honor Gideon Yago, whose diary on the devastating South Asia earthquake last year, was nominated for an Emmy Award. Gideon, generation X’s favorite source on news, will join us on September 15th to help raise money for the children of Pakistan while being honored for his great work and dedication to first-class journalism.
Tickets are officially on sale now. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit www.yourdil.org/indus.
So bring your dancing shoes, bangles, and dress up in your Sunday’s finest for an unprecedented night of exhilaration and mingling--all while supporting such an extraordinary cause.
Hope to see you there!

I can't wait to see the Westside loft take on a completely ethnic look for the Gala. I am particularly excited about the different food vendor stalls which will be decorated and lighted up. This will definitely be DIL's most colorful event to date!!!
Wow. Turning a loft into a village, not sure that's ever been done before. Can't wait to see what the decorating team has come up with.
